Data updates and site changes
The branch list here is release v2.0.62 of Razorpay's public IFSC dataset, published 2026-09-01, with 183,214 branches. Razorpay builds it from the RBI's branch master. This page records when we check for a newer release, what each release changed, and what we have changed on the site.
How the list is kept current
We check for a new release every Tuesday and Friday at 20:17 UTC (early Wednesday and Saturday, 01:47 in India). A new release replaces the current one only if it passes every check below. If it fails any of them, it is not published and the last good release stays live.
- The file is at least 25 MB and holds at least 140,000 branches.
- The IFSC, bank, branch, address, city and state columns are all present.
- No IFSC code appears twice.
- It is not byte-for-byte the same file as an earlier release under a new name.
- No column has lost more than a quarter of its filled values against the previous release.

Over the past year — release v2.0.62 (2026-09-01) against v2.0.47.1 (2025-08-05) — 11,748 IFSC codes were added to the list and 4,505 left it. Each bank, state and city list shows its own share of these.

38 codes missing from the latest release are counted as withdrawn above but not yet marked retired on their own pages: a code must stay out of three releases and 90 days first, because codes do drop out and come back — 9,324 have at least once.
Changes to this site

- Bank merger pages added: for each of the 15 banks that merged away, its old codes, when they left the RBI list, and the new code wherever we can show evidence for it. Bank, state and city lists now show which codes were added to or withdrawn from the list in the past year. This page added.

- Search engines are now pointed at the bank, state and city lists, the merger pages and the guides, instead of at 230,000 single-branch pages that repeat what those lists already show. Every branch page is still here, reachable from its lists and from search.

- Navigation repaired: 62,132 links to list pages that did not exist were removed, and every branch page now links to its bank's state and city lists.

- 169 places that the source spells several ways now have one list each. Retired codes now show the evidence behind any replacement we name, and the release each code was last listed in.

- A to Z indexes of banks and states added. Branch phone numbers removed from the source-record view as well, so no page prints one.

- Eight guides published. Each is checked against the RBI's own documents and corrects at least one claim that is widely repeated elsewhere.

- Site launched on Razorpay release v2.0.62 (published 2026-09-01): 183,214 branches, plus 46,719 retired codes kept on record from our archive of every release since February 2016.
